Barbeque Nation Hospitality Limited is one of India’s leading casual dining chains. The first Barbeque Nation restaurant was launched in 2006 and now there are 138 Barbeque Nation restaurants in 73 cities in India and 7 International Barbeque Nation restaurants in 3 countries. Recently the company has acquired 61.35% stake in Red Apple, which owns and operates restaurants under the brand “Toscano”. As of November 30, 2019, the company operates 10 Italian cuisine restaurants and nine under the brand name “Toscano” in India. In November 2018, the company launched UBQ by Barbeque Nation. Currently it caters to the delivery segment. There are few litigations involving the company or it’s promoters or directors, which if determined against them may have an adverse effect on the company. One of Red Apple’s lenders has not provided its consent for the acquisition of 61.35% stake in Red Apple. These are some of the risk factors. The financials also are not attractive.
